THE HISTORY OF LITTLE BLACK DRESS
LITTLE BLACK DRESS tells the story of best friends Mandy and Dee. Together we witness the girls' major life events in their little black dresses - first job interview, first date, first awkward sexual experience - which happens more than once - first funeral, and more! Using hilarious improv, catchy songs, and a heartfelt story, LITTLE BLACK DRESS has made audiences across the globe laugh, cry, and party!
After being on tour for close to 3 years together with the wildly successful Spank! The Fifty Shades of Grey Parody, writers Danielle Trzcinski and Amanda Barker saw an audience they never knew existed. Thousands of women who wanted to go to the theater not just to see a show, but to have an unforgettable experience! So they grabbed a couple of their super talented friends, Mean Girls Tony nominated vocal arranger Natalie Tenenbaum and Disenchanted's National Tour Director Christopher Bond, and together wrote a hilarious and heartfelt musical about the power of female friendships - LITTLE BLACK DRESS 🥳
This is the era of Female Empowerment. Most girls night out shows are filled with pre-existing jukebox songs and are written by men. We love men! And even have a very sexy one in the show. But we are proud to say that LITTLE BLACK DRESS is an original musical written by a full female writing team. This show was written for women, by women.
What Makes Our Show Unique?
LITTLE BLACK DRESS is a full original musical with improv - so each show is different every night. The music is intoxicating, the audience improv hysterical, and the sincere moments of heartfelt tenderness meet like never before to create a truly unique night.
